The bounty of spring provides lush inspiration for this whimsical styled shoot

PHOTOGRAPHY BY CHRISTINE WILLIAMS PHOTOGRAPHY

The inspiration for this shoot was spring’s first bounty brought indoors, designed and created by Ivy May Floral Design. The Falls Golf Club pavilion space was transformed into a garden style ceremony that transitioned seamlessly into an intimate reception under a lush floral arch dripping with roses, tulips, hydrangea and vines.

The pavilion’s ceilings and walls, sheathed in sheer drapes, created an ethereal canvas for a secret garden of spring blooms.

Wild and wispy florals in low profile vessels lined the white-carpeted aisle, along side vintage decor pieces ranging from golden candle holders to darker statement lanterns, adding hints of both luxury and romance.

The bride’s hand-tied bouquet was primarily made of creamy garden roses and wind-blown tulips punctuated with a ruffled peach garden rose. The bouquet kept a loose and organic shape to compliment the soft swaths of the blush a-line gown. The embroidered floral tulle overlay of the the custom gown by Stesha Ho Bridal Couture was a perfect fit for the spring garden affair.

In keeping with the soft blushing rose and peach palette, Grey Harlowe Collective artfully chose muted dinner plates, vintage stemware, and gold flatware to enhance the intimate and romantic ambiance on the sweetheart table. Other decor details touched on clean, modern vibes such as clear ghost chairs and the addition of lucite candle holders.

Christine Williams Calligraphy and Art created the stationery suite with romantic florals and muted details in mind. She wanted to keep it simple and elegant with soft tones and a pop of colour to tie in with the bouquet. She plant-dyed the ribbons to add a delicate touch to contrast the texture of the paper and styling board that she also created.

This combination of soft and whimsical, with bold clean elements, proves that an indoor garden celebration can be extremely chic.
