Fireworks—literally and figuratively—highlight a stunning outdoor ceremony at Burnaby's historic Hart House

"I know it sounds cliché but our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives. It was spent with the people we love the most. We cried, laughed, danced under our very own fireworks show—a surprise from my husband—and, most importantly, tried to enjoy every second of it," explains Laura Infanti.

"The planning process went fairly smoothly as we had an onsite coordinator that helped arrange everything with all of our vendors and a design/decor company to handle everything else. The only hiccup we had was not being able to say no to anything. The highlights of the evening were definitely the Italian food truck that rolled up on the lawn to make fresh Neapolitan-style pizza as a late-night snack and the amazing fireworks show."

Style/inspiration: Classic outdoor elegance. "Our ceremony took place in a garden overlooking a local lake and we said our vows under a beautiful floral archway," says Laura. "The reception took place in the same garden area but underneath a vaulted tent. As for decor, we had stunning long tables with fresh, white flowers and candles everywhere."

Advice: "Live in the moment and don't let outside distractions damper your day."
