Bohemian beauty and silk chiffon provide an elegant air for this shoot by DH Styling

"The inspiration behind the shoot was the launch of DH Styling and my first collection of bespoke hand torn silk chiffon ribbons," explains Deanna Hollingsworth. "I wanted to do a shoot with a colour story that would complement the 'Alice' lavender chiffon—wrapped around the bouquet as well as the sweetheart table runner—and the 'Arletta' white chiffon, which was also used around the bouquet as well as tied around the cutlery. I wanted to feature only local vendors to show we have everything you need right at home while supporting small business owners. 'Bohemian chic' was the vibe/mood of the shoot which I think translated really well thanks to the flower crown, lace off-the-shoulder gown and vintage furniture. I was the creative director/event and wardrobe stylist and supplier of silk. The field of flowers we shot in was actually a last minute decision by the photographer and I am so glad we followed her instincts! It really added to the overall boho, carefree look of the shoot."

"Silk chiffon is the perfect fabric for table runners and ribbons due to its beautiful, soft and delicate drape. Ribbons can be used in so many unique and different ways to add that special finishing touch. Try wrapping a bow around your cutlery, boutonniere, place cards or invitations."

"Use a calligrapher to make all of your signs cohesive and romantic; chicken scratch on a chalkboard can be a real downer as the overall aesthetic of your wedding. Use signs as an opportunity to add more detail and beauty to the surroundings."
