Inspired by Greg Finck’s black and white bridal campaign for Rime Arodaky, Vancouver wedding and editorial photographer Inga Avedyan pulled together a team of creatives to design a simple shoot. She handpicked a small group of local wedding experts and set to work. “I love working in a smaller crew,” says Inga. “I feel more inspired and open to things.”
Inga pulled two modern gowns from Laudae: the Artesia, featuring geometric lace panels over a glossy mocha lining, with a striking thigh-high slit; and the Normandie, a strapless, body-hugging blush lace dress. The groom wore dapper trim suits from Zara.
She then paired the dresses with two unique veils from Olivia the Wolf: the Candem, a cascade-cut chapel veil finished with a double bias satin trim; and the Hoxton, a double-layered, circle-cut fingertip length veil finished with inches of looped, fringed trim.
Models Kennedy and Max (they ought to start a clothing label with a name combo like that) from Richard’s International Model Management captured the fun, elegant mood that Inga was aiming for. “I only had to click my shutter and see the magic happen,” she says.
The Artistry Collective used MAC cosmetics to give the models a confident, sophisticated aesthetic.
To provide just the right amount of backdrop, Inga asked WildRose Flowers to arrange the florals in a weathered vase.
