Newly Opened D.Tox Spa Provides Quick and Affordable Pampering

For many busy Vancouverites, Pure Nail Bar has become the go-to spot for a fast and reasonably priced mani/pedi, thanks to 10 handy locations with convenient hours. Now, Irene Lee, the entrepreneurial brain behind the popular local beauty chain, has launched a fresh new pampering option just in time for all those festive parties around the corner.

Irene recently opened D.Tox Spa , a new Vancouver spa in the trendy Olympic Village neighbourhood, as a one-stop pampering destination. You can now enjoy a relaxing facial or massage and pretty up your nails all in one spot, thanks to the pop-up Pure Nail Bar that shares the spa’s modern and friendly space.

“Whether you need a wax, want to indulge in a massage, or spruce up those nail beds, D.Tox Spa allows people to do all those things in one place,” explains Irene. “They can be in and out within an hour if they wanted.”

(My recent visit took closer to an hour-and-a-half for a full facial plus manicure — but I’m probably more work than most, judging by my neglected cuticles.)

Spa services are affordably priced, with facials using Dermalogica products running from $30 for a 30-minute mini service up to $68 for a full custom facial. Waxing services start at just $10, threading from $6, while a body massage with a Registered Massage Therapist runs to $80 for 50 minutes of bliss.

On the Pure Nail Bar side, a mani-pedi combo will set you back just $50, or if you want to glam up quickly for that holiday party, a polish change is $15. (Go for a metallic shade for instant glitz!)

Of course, if you're planning a shower or stagette, you can also book a pampering party at D.Tox. You'll even get a bonus pedi for yourself when you book a group of eight or more.

D.Tox Spa is located at 1780 Manitoba Street and open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., including Sundays. Make an appointment online or by calling 604-559-7488. D.Tox gift cards in any amount are also available for holiday or anytime giving.
