Local bride Caylin says she knew from the start that she wanted a romantic summer wedding in Kelowna. And that’s exactly what she got when she and groom Glenn tied the knot at the Harvest Golf Club in the sunny Okanagan.

The couple chose a soft and pretty colour palette of creams and blushes, from the florals to the bridesmaid gowns. The bridesmaids’ floor-length dresses, paired with the groomsmen’s tuxedos and bow ties, added a sense of formal elegance to the day. These style choices were complemented by the stationery, which was similarly polished, elegant and simple.

Caylin and Glenn’s table decor was inspired by the places in Italy they planned to travel to on their honeymoon. Flowers, silver mercury votives and white candles galore filled the long reception tables. The cake was a definite highlight, trimmed as it was with natural flowers in soft pastel shades. Each guest also kept their “find your seat” keys, which was a DIY project the bride herself took on.

“A mini-destination wedding was the perfect excuse to gather all the people we loved into one amazing place for a weekend,” says Caylin. “I would definitely recommend it to other brides. The day goes by so fast, so making a weekend out of it is the perfect compromise to a lengthier destination wedding.”
